MCP Server — Brand plan and above

Stop pasting your data into a chat box. Let the model read it.

Connect your OptimalCentral account to any AI model that speaks the Model Context Protocol and ask about your catalogue in plain language: which listings scored worst, whether a keyword rank moved, what the ads alerts mean, what to fix first. The model reads the analyses you already paid for and the account data we have synced, and can start a fresh audit on your existing allowance. This channel never writes to your Amazon account, so nothing a model says here can change a bid, a budget or a price.

Included from the Brand plan, and read-only in your 14-day trial — part of a 29-tool suite, one subscription.

What you can ask

Twelve things the model can do on your behalf.

Ten read what you already have. Two spend your plan's existing allowance, the same pool the website draws on.

01

Review your audits

"Which of my listings scored worst this month?"

The model pulls your audit history and ranks it. No export needed.

02

Explain one audit in full

"Walk me through B0… and tell me what to fix first."

Every finding, its priority and recommended action, plus the deterministic standards check with how many rules could be measured.

03

Check rank movement

"Has my rank for that keyword moved since June?"

Weekly rank history for any tracked keyword, so the model can spot the turn, not just today's rank.

04

Check search visibility

"Am I still in the top 10 for my tracked terms?"

Your latest visibility scan: whether your product is in Amazon's organic top 10 for each tracked search term, and whether a simulated Alexa for Shopping answer would recommend it. The simulated answer is labeled as a simulation.

05

Triage ads alerts

"Anything wrong with my ads this week?"

Daily monitor alerts (worsening ACOS, spend spikes, high spend with no orders) for the model to prioritise and explain.

06

Follow a running audit

"Is that audit done yet?"

An audit takes about two minutes. The model starts it, checks back, and reads you the result.

07

Work the action queue

"What should I fix first this week?"

Your prioritised to-do list across every tool, sorted by dollar value where a real figure exists, with the page to act on each item.

08

Check reimbursement claims

"How much has Amazon reimbursed me this quarter?"

Detected, filed and recovered FBA reimbursement totals, plus the highest-value open claims and their filing deadlines. Read only: the model cannot file a claim.

09

Check inventory status

"Which SKUs need reordering now?"

Your latest synced FBA inventory snapshot for Amazon.com: SKU counts by state, stranded SKUs, and the reorder-now SKUs with days of cover left.

10

Summarise sales

"How did sales and conversion look over the last 30 days?"

Ordered units, sales, sessions, page views and Buy Box and conversion percentages over a trailing window of synced days on Amazon.com, not a calendar month.

11

Run a new audit

"Audit B0… now."

Spends one ASIN from the same allowance a website audit spends. Paid Brand or Enterprise plans; trial accounts read only.

12

Start tracking a keyword

"Start tracking that phrase for B0…"

Adds it to your rank tracker and takes the first measurement immediately, then weekly from there.

What it can never do

The limits are in the code, not in a policy page.

Connecting an AI model to your seller account is a real decision. Here is how far it goes and what stops it.

It cannot change your advertising

No bid change, budget change, paused campaign or negative keyword. The MCP server has no code path to any advertising write. On the website, bids and budgets change only after you approve each change; dayparting, negative keywords and low-stock pausing run only under a one-time authorization you give there. An automated test fails the build if a future change opens that door from here.

The connection opens one endpoint, not your account

Approving a client does not create a login. Its access works on the MCP endpoint and is refused everywhere else on the site, so a misbehaving client cannot reach your billing, connected accounts or settings.

You never hand over a credential

Connecting uses OAuth 2.1: you log in on optimalcentral.com, read the request, and approve it there. The client never sees your password. It gets one of two permission levels: read, or read plus run.

You can take it back

Your Connections page lists every connected client, when you connected it and when it last ran. Disconnect is one click and takes effect immediately; no waiting for a token to expire.

It never makes a live call to Amazon

Most of what the model reads is analysis OptimalCentral produced: audit findings, rank history, visibility scans, advertising alerts. It also reads data we already synced from your Amazon account (inventory status, a sales and traffic summary, reimbursement claims). It never calls the Selling Partner API itself; a build-failing test walks the code to keep it that way.

It sees your data only

Every request is scoped to your account before it reaches any data. No cross-seller view, no aggregate feed, no way to ask about someone else's catalogue.

It stays inside the plan you pay for

An audit the model starts spends the same ASIN allowance as a website audit. No separate MCP quota, no per-question charge; reading what you already have is free.

How it works

One URL, one approval, then just ask.

No SDK, no key management, no local install. Any AI client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth dynamic client registration can connect.

1

Add the server

In your AI client's connector or MCP settings, add https://www.optimalcentral.com/mcp. The client discovers the rest.

2

Approve it once

On optimalcentral.com, log in and review the request: which client, and whether it may read only or also run. Approve to return to the client.

3

Ask in plain language

"How did my listings score this month?" The model picks the tool, reads your data and answers. Nothing to configure per question.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard for connecting an AI model to a data source. Connect once and the model reads the data itself, with no copying figures into a chat. OptimalCentral's MCP server is at www.optimalcentral.com/mcp. With your permission, any client that speaks the protocol can reach the analysis OptimalCentral has produced for you and data already synced from your Amazon account. It never calls Amazon's Selling Partner API live. It reads only what we have synced, such as inventory status, a sales and traffic summary and reimbursement claims.

Which AI models can connect?

Any AI client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth dynamic client registration. Many AI assistants with connector directories and AI coding tools do, as can anything custom you build. Paste one URL; the client handles the rest.

What can the AI model actually see?

Only your own data, through the twelve tools the server exposes. Ten read: your listing audits, one audit in full, keyword rank history, visibility scans (organic top 10 plus a simulated AI answer), ads alerts, action queue, reimbursement claims, latest inventory status, a sales and traffic summary, and the status of a running audit. Two run, on paid plans: start a new listing audit or track a new keyword. It cannot browse your account, read your billing, or see another seller's data.

Can it change my Amazon advertising account?

No, and no setting can switch it on. The MCP server has no code path to any advertising write: no bid change, no budget change, no paused campaign, no negative keyword. Advertising changes happen only on the website: bids and budgets after you approve each change; dayparting, negative keywords and low-stock pausing under a one-time authorization you give there. That exclusion is enforced by an automated test, not a policy note.

Do I paste an API key or my password?

Neither. Connecting uses OAuth 2.1: you log in on optimalcentral.com, see exactly what the client is asking for, and approve it there. The client never sees your password. Its access opens the MCP endpoint and nothing else on your account.

Does running an audit from my AI model cost extra?

No. An audit started this way spends the same ASIN allowance as one started on the website. No separate MCP quota, no per-question charge. Reading your existing data is free and unmetered.

How do I disconnect it?

Your Connections page lists every connected AI client, when it was connected, and when it last ran. One click disconnects it; access stops immediately.

Which plans include the MCP server?

The Brand and Enterprise plans. Free trials get read access only: a model can read and explain your data. Starting new audits and tracking new keywords needs a paid Brand or Enterprise plan.

Your data should answer questions, not sit in a dashboard.

Every plan includes the full diagnosis suite. From the Brand plan up, this connection puts your audits, ranks, visibility scans, ads alerts, action queue, reimbursements, inventory and sales inside your AI model.
