What does the Product Monitor watch?
Seven things per ASIN: price changes of 5% or more, Best Sellers Rank worsening 30% or more, rating drops of 0.1 or more (with the count of new ratings), Buy Box seller changes or loss, going out of stock, title changes, and the listing becoming unavailable (a common sign of suppression), plus when it comes back.
How often are products checked?
Each ASIN is checked the moment you add it, then weekly on Pro, or daily at 6 AM ET on Brand and above, with a second 6 PM ET check on Agency. Every check stores a snapshot (price, BSR, rating, Buy Box seller, availability), and the alerts are the differences between snapshots, so you see what changed, from what, to what.
Should I monitor my own products or competitors?
Both. On your own ASINs the monitor catches the things that quietly kill revenue: Buy Box loss to a hijacker, a rating slide, a suppressed listing. On competitor ASINs it catches their price moves and stock-outs, which are often your best moments to push.
Does it detect listing suppression?
Yes, from two angles. Without any connection, the external check flags a listing that stops returning data (a common sign of suppression). If you optionally connect your Amazon Seller account, the monitor also reads Amazon's own suppressed-listings list daily — each entry with Amazon's reason and fix instructions — and alerts you the day a listing is suppressed, deactivated, or reinstated.
