A+ Content Audit — enhanced brand content

Your A+ modules, checked against Amazon's own A+ rules.

Most A+ copy is in the images, so that is where this reads it. Every module image is checked for phone legibility, alt-text, and claims Amazon's A+ guidelines do not allow. Each finding names its image and the rule it rests on.

Included in every OptimalCentral plan (Pro and up) — part of a 29-tool suite, one subscription, from $99/mo.

What you get

The rules Amazon enforces, read module by module.

A+ that breaks Amazon's guidelines can be rejected, shown incompletely, or taken down. This reads yours as the shopper and the reviewer see it.

01

The text inside your images

The audit reads the words in each image: are they legible at phone size, and do they make a claim Amazon's guidelines restrict? Guarantees, superlatives, environmental claims, awards without a date and a source.

02

Findings you can act on

Each finding names its image, says whether it rests on an Amazon guideline or a best practice, and says what to change. Specific enough to hand to a designer.

03

Alt-text, checked

Amazon asks for alt-text that describes the image for shoppers using a screen reader. The audit reports alt-text that is missing or says nothing.

04

It tells you what it could not see

Each report states how many of your A+ images it reviewed out of how many exist, where it read them, and how many A+ documents Amazon would not return through its API. A partial read is never shown as complete.

How it works

One ASIN in, a per-image verdict out.

Works on any ASIN. Connecting your account adds what only Amazon knows about your own listings.

1

Enter an ASIN

Yours or a competitor's. The audit reads the A+ content published on that detail page, the modules a shopper scrolls past.

2

Connect your account, optionally

With a seller or vendor connection, the audit also asks Amazon for the modules published on your own ASIN. That adds module order and each image's alt-text. Amazon does not return every A+ document; anything it withholds is counted and named.

3

Read the findings

Each has a severity, its image, and whether it is an Amazon guideline or a best practice, with a link to the guideline.

4

Fix it in Amazon's A+ Content Manager

The audit never touches your content. Make the changes where A+ lives, then re-run the audit once the new version is live.

Pro plan and up

The agent audits, you act.

Diagnosis is on every plan, from Pro up. This tool reads and reports. Your A+ content changes only if you change it in Seller Central.

05

Included from Pro

A+ audits per billing period: 10 on Pro, 30 on Brand, 100 on Enterprise, 1 during the 14-day free trial. Separate from the Image Audit limit.

06

Re-runs on the same day are free

A+ takes up to seven business days to clear Amazon's review. Re-running the same ASIN within 24 hours returns the saved report and uses no run.

07

Competitors too

Any ASIN works, so you can read a competitor's A+ like your own before you brief a redesign.

08

Read-only, by design

This tool does not create, edit or submit A+ content. It has no unattended mode and writes nothing to your account.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What does the A+ Content Audit check?

The A+ modules published on the detail page, against Amazon’s own A+ guidelines: text too small to read on a phone, blurry or watermarked images, missing or non-descriptive alt-text, claims Amazon does not allow (satisfaction guarantees, superlatives, environmental claims, awards without a date and a source), warranty and shipping content, competitor comparisons, and pricing or promotional wording. Each finding names its image and the guideline it rests on.

Do I need to connect my Amazon account?

No. Any ASIN works, yours or a competitor’s: the audit reads the A+ content published on the product page. Connecting your seller or vendor account adds two things only Amazon can tell you about your own listings: the published module order and each image’s alt-text. Amazon’s API does not return every A+ document, so the page stays the main source either way. Each report names its source.

Can it change or publish my A+ content?

No. It only reads. It never creates, edits, or submits A+ content, and has no unattended mode. You run it on the ASIN you choose and make any change yourself in Amazon’s A+ Content Manager.

Which plans include it, and how many runs do I get?

Every plan from Pro, like every diagnostic tool: 10 runs per billing period on Pro, 30 on Brand, 100 on Enterprise, and 1 during the 14-day free trial. Re-running the same ASIN within 24 hours returns the saved report and uses no run.
